Words of ME- Update

Also!
For those of you that actually read my blog and
enjoy my rants and artwork- you may like this!
Something rather exciting and fun came up
the other day while attending one of my classes.
To make a long story short...
I am now a Lead Concept Artist!
I'm so excited to be taking on this new challenge!

U.L.

As I have mentioned in previous posts
I was been rather busy all summer and unable to work on my own pieces.
Well, I figured it was about time you all got to see some of what I have been working on instead.

One of my graduated classmates contacted me over the summer- interested in me creating a storyboard for him and a company he is currently working with.
Long story short-
they sent me a 13 page script that needed storyboarding
and thought I am unable to show you all of my work
I CAN show you a small fraction of it.

Heimdell

I know the Thor movie was very popular- and I have to say I enjoyed it as well.
Costumes were so interesting and had a great twist to them all.
And I loved the modern splash they had in it all but I did notice something that nagged at me.
Something about Heimdell...
He was missing an important feature in his costume...
I had done some research on Viking legends a long time ago but that's the thing! 'A long time ago'.

I couldn't put my finger on what was bothering me so I looked it up.
His HORN!! He was missing his horn!

In viking legend Heimdell was said to 'sleep less than a bird, he could see 100 leagues, and could hear grass growing in the meadows and wool growing on sheep.
Heimdall kept the “ringing” horn, Gjallarhorn, which could be heard throughout heaven, earth, and the lower world;
it was believed that he would sound the horn to summon the gods when their enemies, the giants, drew near at the Ragnarök, the end of the world of gods and men.'

So- as always~
Lets start with off with some fun sketch work!

Lookin' pretty good there!
Next step- Inking the lines!

Once thats all done-
Time to get to the color blocking!
Once all the colors are blocked out with a nice base
It's time to move onto the shading and lighting and really bringing some life into my design of Heimdell!

(Coming soon)

Eelmaid Update

After having no time all summer to spend on my own work it's nice to get back to school and have some fun me time.
(And yes I know how odd that sounds, haha)

So what better way of coming back into the semester then
an update on a project of mine that's been on pause for a few months now?

Remember this one?

Hoping to have her finished in a week.
Whoo!
Lets do this~
